US Patent Issued to Dow Global Technologies, Dow Silicones on March 31 for "Paper and pulp foam control agent" (Michigan, Texas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,590,414, issued on March 31, was assigned to Dow Global Technologies LLC (Midland, Mich.) and Dow Silicones Corp. (Midland, Mich.).

"Paper and pulp foam control agent" was invented by Xue Chen (Manvel, Texas) and Haseeb Moten (Midland, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A foam control agent and method of controlling foam for paper or pulp production by use of a foam control agent, wherein the agent comprises at least a branched alcohol."

The patent was filed on Oct. 21, 2021, under Application No. 18/248,165.
