US Patent Issued to Dove Innovation on April 14 for "Methods of treating head and neck cancers with hemp extract" (American, Australian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,617, issued on April 14, was assigned to Dove Innovation Pty Ltd. (Sydney).

"Methods of treating head and neck cancers with hemp extract" was invented by Alexandra M. Capano (Philadelphia), Pradeep Singh Tanwar (Fletcher, Australia) and Alex Nance (Georgetown, Ky.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for treating a head or neck cancer comprising: administering to a patient an effective amount of a composition comprising a cannabis extract comprising cannabidiol (CBD), wherein the composition is preferably administered as a mucosal formulation."

The patent was filed on Oct. 26, 2022, under Application No. 18/049,966.
