ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,576,480, issued on March 17, was assigned to DISCO Corp. (Tokyo).
"Dressing board and shape determining method" was invented by Katsubumi Iida (Tokyo) and Junichi Fukuhara (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dressing board for dressing a tip end of a cutting blade includes a lower surface to be held on a table and a slanted surface inclined to the lower surface and oriented across a direction in which the cutting blade is movable relatively to the table such that the tip end of the cutting blade moves across and over the slanted surface when the cutting blade is moved relatively to the table."
