According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An ultrasonic sensor includes a magnetic substance, a diaphragm, and an electromagnetic transducer. The electromagnetic transducer is disposed opposing the magnetic substance across an outer plate of a vehicle.
