ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,601,604, issued on April 14, was assigned to DENSO Corp. (Kariya, Japan).
"Energy prediction device" was invented by Yuki Kishita (Kariya-city, Japan), Hiroyuki Nanjo (Kariya-city, Japan) and Noriaki Ikemoto (Kariya-city, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An energy prediction device includes a route setting unit configured to divide a travel route traveled by a vehicle and set route sections into which the travel route is divided and a model construction unit configured to construct a consumption prediction model for predicting an energy consumed by the vehicle for each route section."
