US Patent Issued to Defibtech on June 16 for "Automated external defibrillation (AED) electrodes" (Connecticut Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,654,001, issued on June 16, was assigned to Defibtech LLC (Guilford, Conn.).

"Automated external defibrillation (AED) electrodes" was invented by Matt Valentine (Madison, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aspects of the invention provide an AED electrode that utilizes an acrylic adhesive to physically secure and electrically couple the electrode to a victim, e.g., for purposes of delivering high-energy electrical discharges of 10-360 Joules with currents from 100 A to 2500 A.
