ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,495,733, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Deere & Co. (Moline, Ill.).

"Predictive map and machine control" was invented by Matthew J. Darr (Ames, Iowa) and Federico Pardina-Malbran (Fort Collins, Colo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A predictive map including predictive values of an agricultural characteristic of a worksite is obtained. An in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic is identified based on a sensor signal provided by an in-situ sensor. A corrected predictive map, including corrected predictive values of the agricultural characteristic, is generated based on the in-situ value of the agricultural characteristic. A co...
