US Patent Issued to Danisco US on June 30 for "Esterase and methods of use, thereof" (Chinese, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,786, issued on June 30, was assigned to Danisco US Inc. (Palo Alto, Calif.).

"Esterase and methods of use, thereof" was invented by Feng Guo (Los Altos, Calif.), Helong Hao (Shanghai), Bradley Kelemen (Menlo Park, Calif.), Amy Deming Liu (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Kefeng Ni (Shanghai), Zhen Qian (Shanghai) and Zhongmei Tang (Shanghai).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to a method and a composition comprising an esterase for enzymatic surface modification of a polyester. The present disclosure also relates to a method of degradation or hydrolysis of an insoluble plant material."
