ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,729,132, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to DAIICHI KIGENSO KAGAKU KOGYO Co. LTD. (Osaka, Japan).

"Zirconium composite oxide and method for producing zirconium composite oxide" was invented by Hiroshi Kodama (Osaka, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a zirconium composite oxide containing 5 mass % to 50 mass % yttrium oxide and cerium oxide, the specific surface area after 10 hours of heating at 1250deg C. being 3.0 m2/g to 20.0 m2/g."
