ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,412,237, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Cyan Systems (Santa Barbara, Calif.).

"Image processing for oversampled infrared imaging" was invented by Jon Paul Curzan (Arroyo Grande, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method is described. The method includes receiving oversampled infrared data provided from an infrared pixel array. The method also includes performing at least one of selective median filtering, spatial-temporal filtering, or resolution enhancement for the oversampled infrared data."

The patent was filed on Aug. 5, 2022, under Application No. 17/882,463.
