ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,595,883, issued on April 7, was assigned to CryoVac AS (Norway).

"Prismatic liquid hydrogen tank" was invented by Stein Foss (Drammen, Norway), Sverre Oien (Drammen, Norway), Aage Bjorn Andersen (Drammen, Norway) and Terje Paulsen (Drammen, Norway).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A prismatic tank for the containment of liquefied gas. The tank is formed of extruded materials and comprises an outer insulation layer."

The patent was filed on July 22, 2021, under Application No. 18/017,387.
