ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,301,438, issued on May 13, was assigned to Cox Communications Inc. (Atlanta).
"Identifying and mitigating sources of lag in a network" was invented by Michael Paul Overcash (Duluth, Ga.), Stephen Alan Skinner Jr. (Atlanta), David Adam Taylor (Flowery Branch, Ga.), Owen Thomas Parsons (Dunwoody, Ga.) and Daniel Ray Sciscoe (Dunwoody, Ga.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aspects are described that utilize a distributed network of measurement points to detect sources of lag in a network, but are not so limited. Sources of lag can be detected at particular locations in a network or multiple networks using a plurality of distributed measurement...
