ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,672,969, issued on July 7, was assigned to Covidien LP (Mansfield, Mass.).

"Occlusive device" was invented by Teresa Ruvalcaba (Newark, Calif.), Earl Bardsley (San Clemente, Calif.) and Richard Rhee (Anaheim Hills, Calif.).
