ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,437, issued on April 14, was assigned to Covidien LP (Mansfield, Mass.).

"Pre-procedure planning, intra-procedure guidance for biopsy, and ablation of tumors with and without cone-beam computed tomography or fluoroscopic imaging" was invented by William J. Dickhans (Longmont, Colo.), Oren P. Weingarten (Hod-Hasharon, Israel), Evgeni Kopel (Barkan, Israel), Avital Zik (Tel Aviv, Israel) and Ariel Birenbaum (Raanana, Israel).
