ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,205, issued on March 17, was assigned to Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (New Delhi).

"Hydrogenation of imines by palladium based catalyst" was invented by Shubhangi Bhalchandra Umbarkar (Pune, India), Chepuri Venkata Ramana (Pune, India), Doke Dhananjay Shahuraj (Pune, India) and Mane Jayesh Shankar (Pune, India).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention discloses a process for the hydrogenation of imines of Formula I by palladium-based catalyst to provide product of Formula II with more than 95% conversion of substrate and more than 95% of desired hydrogenated product."
