ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,754,388, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to CORNING RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Corp. (Corning, N.Y.).

"High density, low diameter cable with rollable fiber optic ribbon" was invented by Gerhard Merbach (Neustadt bei Coburg, Germany) and Sebastian Olszewski (Lodz, Poland).
