ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,709,858, issued on Aug. 18, was assigned to Cornerstone Wall Solutions Inc. (Calgary, Canada).

"Plantable retaining wall block and retaining walls thereof" was invented by Alain Michaud (Calgary, Canada).
