ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,708,648, issued on Aug. 18, was assigned to CONVATEC INC (Bridgewater, N.J.).
"Birth tissue compositions and methods of preparation" was invented by Kurt Klitzke (Memphis, Tenn.) and Jon G. Hargis (Memphis, Tenn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods of processing a mammalian placental tissue to form birth tissue compositions are provided. The birth tissue compositions may be a membrane-based construct or a powder formulation. Methods of treating a wound are also provided."
