ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,576,561, issued on March 17, was assigned to CONTINUUS MATERIALS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LLC (The Woodlands, Texas).
"PVC infused composite products" was invented by Jack G. Winterowd (Puyallup, Wash.) and Matthew Spencer (Palatine, Ill.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of manufacturing a product includes forming a first mixture of PVC fragments and cellulosic fragments, heating the first mixture at a temperature and duration sufficient to melt at least a portion of the PVC fragments, and cooling the first mixture until the melted PVC fragments resolidify."
The patent was filed on June 30, 2023, under Application No. 18/217,113.
