US Patent Issued to Conopco on Sept. 29 for "Hair conditioning composition" (Dutch Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,746,192, issued on Sept. 29, was assigned to Conopco Inc. (Englewood Cliffs, N.J.).

"Hair conditioning composition" was invented by Andrew Richard Avery (Wageningen, Netherlands) and Nerea Ortuoste Elcoro (Wageningen, Netherlands).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Excellent dry conditioning benefits are provided by a hair conditioner composition comprising: A) 0.01 to 5 wt %, by weight of the total composition, of a blend comprising i) particles of boiling resistant starch, having a Dv(50) particle size of from 1 to 12 microns; and ii) a hydrophobic non-silicone oil; in a weight ratio of starch to oil of from 0.5:1 to 1:0.5; B) 0.01 to 5 wt...
