US Patent Issued to Conopco on Oct. 6 for "Cleansing composition" (Brazilian, American Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,753,376, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to Conopco Inc. (Hoboken, N.J.).

"Cleansing composition" was invented by Rafael Astolfi (Sao Paulo), Sergio Roberto Leopoldino (Sao Paulo) and Yuriy Konstantinovich Yarovoy (Monroe, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cleansing composition comprises a surfactant and a structurant. The structurant comprises a mixture of a fatty acid and a fatty acid soap. The fatty acid is present in an amount of greater than or equal to 88% by weight of the mixture, preferably greater than or equal to 95% by weight of the mixture, more preferably greater than or equal to 99% by weight of the mixture."
