ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,583,976, issued on March 24, was assigned to Commscope Technologies LLC (Hickory, N.C.).
"Rapid recovery silicone gels" was invented by Gary William Adams (Holly Springs, N.C.) and Matthew Peter Galla (Holly Springs, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Sealants are provided, including silicone gels, compositions, and methods of making, for use in sealing telecommunications closures. The silicone gels are capable of sealing and resealing rapidly, for example, within 5 minutes after closing."
