ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. RE50,653, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to CommScope Connectivity UK Ltd. (London) and CommScope Technologies LLC (Claremont, N.C.).

"Overlay-based asset location and identification system" was invented by Kevin David Townend (Flintshire, Great Britain), John Michael Hulse (Gwynedd, Great Britain), Ian Butler (Cheadle, Great Britain), David Thomas (Chester, Great Britain) and Joseph Polland (Eden Prairie, Minn.).
