ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,581,171, issued on March 17, was assigned to Comcast Cable Communications LLC (Philadelphia).
"Managing content data" was invented by Adam D. Eng (Golden, Colo.) and David A. Eng (Louisville, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Proper descriptive data control within content may be needed, for example to prevent a spoiler. By properly managing descriptive data, viewers may receive relevant information at the correct moment. This approach may foster a more personalized viewing experience."
