ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,361,020, issued on July 15, was assigned to Comcast Cable Communications LLC (Philadelphia).

"Distributed data access control" was invented by Sony Joseph (Mountain View, Calif.) and Jonathan Heller (New York).
