ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,789, issued on June 30, was assigned to Codexis Inc. (Redwood City, Calif.).

"Engineered phosphopentomutase variant enzymes" was invented by Jonathan Vroom (South San Francisco, Calif.), Santhosh Sivaramakrishnan (Redwood City, Calif.) and Jessica Anna Hurtak (Mountain View, Calif.).
