US Patent Issued to CLARIANT INTERNATIONAL on Sept. 15 for "Estolide esters for the cosmetic treatment of skin" (New York Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,734,121, issued on Sept. 15, was assigned to CLARIANT INTERNATIONAL LTD (Muttenz, Switzerland).

"Estolide esters for the cosmetic treatment of skin" was invented by Gundula Starkulla (North Salem, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to the use of a cosmetic composition comprising at least one compound according to Formula (1) wherein R is selected from linear or branched C3-C20-alkyl; and n is selected from 1 to 20; for the cosmetic treatment of skin."
