US Patent Issued to CKnapp Sales on June 16 for "Tray with under-mattress mount" (Illinois Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,653,303, issued on June 16, was assigned to CKnapp Sales Inc. (Goodfield, Ill.).

"Tray with under-mattress mount" was invented by Cody Ryan Hirstein (Eureka, Ill.) and Brandon Kaeb (Gridley, Ill.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A tray assembly for use with a bed includes a planar support configured to extend under a mattress of the bed, an upright post connected to the planar support, an arm connected to the upright post, and a worksurface platform mounted to an end of the arm opposite the upright post, wherein the arm provides an adjustable spacing between the upright post and the worksurface platform."
