ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,646,720, issued on June 2, was assigned to City University of Hong Kong (Kowloon, Hong Kong).
"Covalent organic framework and its electrochemical use" was invented by Qichun Zhang (Kowloon, Hong Kong), Chun-Sing Lee (Kowloon, Hong Kong), Chenchen Wang (Kowloon, Hong Kong) and Shen Xu (Kowloon, Hong Kong).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrode material for an energy storage device including a covalent organic framework includes a plurality of aromatic moieties each linked by at least one thioether linkage. An anode including said electrode material, and an energy storage device having said anode."
