ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,594,523, issued on April 7, was assigned to Chevron U.S.A. Inc. (San Ramon, Calif.).
"Membrane capture of CO2 from refinery emissions" was invented by Daniel Chinn (Danville, Calif.), Nitesh Bhuwania (Richmond, Calif.) and Alice Zunqing He (San Rafael, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is directed to a method of capturing CO2 from a FCC regenerator using select membranes."
The patent was filed on Oct. 5, 2021, under Application No. 17/493,927.
