US Patent Issued to Canon on Dec. 2 for "Image forming apparatus with top emission light emitting device" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,487,540, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Canon K.K. (Tokyo).

"Image forming apparatus with top emission light emitting device" was invented by Yasutomo Furuta (Chiba, Japan), Hayato Koyama (Chiba, Japan) and Koichiro Nakanishi (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A second electrode is laminated on a light emitting layer on an opposite side across the light emitting layer from a first electrode laminated on a silicon substrate.
