ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,704,668, issued on Aug. 11, was assigned to Canon K.K. (Tokyo).
"Display element and display apparatus" was invented by Yoshihiro Ohashi (Tokyo) and Yutaka Yoshimasa (Kanagawa, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A display element includes a sub-pixel region including a wavelength conversion layer that converts a wavelength of excitation light, and further includes a low refractive index layer provided in a region between a wavelength conversion portion and an optical member."
