According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to synthetic polypeptide compounds which bind to a class A G-protein-coupled receptor, the Apelin receptor. These compounds may act as apelin receptor antagonists. These compounds and compositions comprising them may be useful in the treatment of diseases, such as cancer."
