ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,629,567, issued on May 19, was assigned to Callaway Golf Co. (Carlsbad, Calif.).
"Golf club head" was invented by Dominic LeBlanc (Carlsbad, Calif.), William C. Watson (Menifee, Calif.) and Brandon D. DeMille (Carlsbad, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A golf club head with a central body component is disclosed herein. The golf club also has a face component and an aft component. The face component is attached to a front opening of the central body and the aft component is attached to a rear opening of the central body. A face insert of the face component has a plurality of thickness rings around a central section."
