ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,636,361, issued on May 26, was assigned to Calidi Biotherapeutics (Nevada) Inc. (San Diego).
"Smallpox vaccine for cancer treatment" was invented by Aladar Szalay (Highland, Calif.) and Boris Minev (San Diego).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are methods and compositions related to therapy for cancer. More specifically, the disclosed methods and compositions are related to the use of smallpox vaccine to induce an effective anti-tumor immune response."
The patent was filed on June 14, 2024, under Application No. 18/743,581.
