US Patent Issued to BWR Innovations on June 30 for "System and method for renewable energy based EV charging and hydrogen fueling" (North Dakota Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,144, issued on June 30, was assigned to BWR Innovations LLC (West Fargo, N.D.).

"System and method for renewable energy based EV charging and hydrogen fueling" was invented by Joel A. Jorgenson (Fargo, N.D.), Adam C. Jorgenson (West Fargo, N.D.), Thomas W. Nelson (Fargo, N.D.) and Neal O. Haaland (Fargo, N.D.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for electric vehicle charging and hydrogen fueling leverages existing infrastructure of a localized renewable energy microgrid and utilizes excess generated energy to power an electrolyzer to produce hydrogen gas on site that is compressed and stored in a pressure vessel.
