According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A household dishwasher includes a dishwasher cavity, a door designed to close off or open the dishwasher cavity, a receptacle for an item to be washed, and a drive designed to move the receptacle in a deployment direction to at least partially open the door and/or a retraction direction to at least partially close the door."
