ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,578,105, issued on March 17, was assigned to Broan-NuTone LLC (Hartford, Wis.).
"Fresh air inlet" was invented by Stephane Michaud (Drummondville, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An air inlet for an air handling unit includes a duct defining a passageway leading to the air handling unit. The fresh air inlet further includes an intake screen that is formed to include a plurality of openings sized to allow airflow to pass through the openings to the air handling unit. Accumulated particles are removed from surfaces of the intake screen with a screen cleaning system."
