According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A consumable article for use with an apparatus arranged to heat aerosolizable material to volatilize at least one component of the aerosolizable material is disclosed. The consumable article has an outer shell and an inner shell within the outer shell. The inner shell contains aerosolizable material. The consumable article also has a thermally insulating layer separating the inner shell from the outer shell."
