US Patent Issued to BRIDGESTONE on June 30 for "Pneumatic tire" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,671,167, issued on June 30, was assigned to BRIDGESTONE Corp. (Tokyo).

"Pneumatic tire" was invented by Takatoshi Ono (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pneumatic tire including: a tire body; and a communication device embedded in the tire body or attached to an inner surface of the tire body. The communication device includes a flat antenna, and the communication device is disposed so that an antenna in-plane direction that is perpendicular to the thickness direction of the flat antenna is along an outer surface of the tire body."

The patent was filed on Aug. 10, 2023, under Application No. 18/872,966.
