ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,485,703, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC (Nashville, Tenn.).

"Tire with RFID enclosed in different rubber layers and related methods" was invented by Claude David Rollins (Knightdale, N.C.) and Seth Martin Miller (Wooster, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein is a tire having an electronic communication module including a radio device where the radio device is positioned between a first rubber layer and a second rubber layer, with the second rubber layer having a T50 cure time at 160deg C. that is than the T50 cure time of the first rubber layer.
