ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,731,729, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Brian Lau (Bellevue, Wash.) and Sesame AI Inc. (Los Angeles).
"Integrated inductive charging for wearable devices" was invented by Brian Scott Lau (Bellevue, Wash.) and Matthew DeVoe (Bellevue, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is disclosed a wearable device that includes two bands, an exterior band, and an interior band, comprised of an electrically conductive material, and including at least one interior cut through the entirety of the interior band. The two bands form a single-turn coil from the exterior band that may thereafter be used as a receiving coil for inductive charging."
