ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,503,580, issued on Dec. 23, was assigned to Borealis AG (Vienna).

"Flame retardant polyolefin composition" was invented by Bhawna Kulshreshtha (Vienna) and Johan Defoer (Mechelen, Belgium).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides a flame retardant polyolefin composition comprising a) an ethylene based plastomer with a density in the range of 0.850 to 0.915 g/cm3 and an MFR2 in the range 0.5-30 g/10 min; b) a propylene based plastomer with a density in the range of 0.860 to 0.910 g/cm3 and an MFR2 in the range 0.01-30 g/10 min; and c) a flame retardant."
