ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,485,191, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERISTY OF NEBRASKA (Lincoln, Neb.).

"Radiopharmaceuticals and methods of use thereof" was invented by Jered Garrison (Omaha, Neb.), Wei Fan (Omaha, Neb.) and Wenting Zhang (Omaha, Neb.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Targeted pharmaceuticals, particularly targeted radiopharmaceuticals, are provided which possess extended tumor retention time."

The patent was filed on Nov. 28, 2018, under Application No. 16/765,507.
