ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,643,989, issued on June 2, was assigned to BMG (British Medical Group) Ltd. (Cambridge, Great Britain).
"Antimicrobial medical glove" was invented by Paul Wight (Manchester, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A formulation for manufacturing an antimicrobial article, said formulation comprising 25 to 75 weight parts of a PVC resin; 20 to 40 weight parts of a plasticizer; 10 to 30 weight parts of a solvent diluent; 0.001 to 1% by weight, and preferably 0.001 to 0.3% by weight of a singlet oxygen generating dye."
The patent was filed on July 1, 2020, under Application No. 17/624,143.
