ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,661,713, issued on June 23, was assigned to Blue Origin Manufacturing LLC (Huntsville, Ala.).

"Wire-feed friction stir additive manufacturing devices and methods" was invented by Weidong Song (Woodinville, Wash.).
