US Patent Issued to Blue Laser Fusion on Sept. 15 for "Direct laser fusion system" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,738,384, issued on Sept. 15, was assigned to Blue Laser Fusion Inc. (Palo Alto, Calif.).

"Direct laser fusion system" was invented by Shuji Nakamura (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Hiroaki Ohta (Palo Alto, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In an example, the present invention provides a laser fusion system comprising a reactor, a fusion material within an interior region of the reactor, and a high intensity pulse laser generation system configured by a hub and spoke spatial arrangement of laser cavity regions within the reactor."
