ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,667, issued on April 14, was assigned to BLOODWORKS (Seattle).

"Methods of preventing platelet alloimmunization and alloimmune platelet refractoriness and induction of tolerance in transfused recipients" was invented by Sherrill J. Slichter (Vashon, Wash.).
