ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,605,022, issued on April 21, was assigned to BISSELL Inc. (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
"Brushroll for vacuum cleaner" was invented by Joseph P. Perry (Comstock Park, Mich.), Jayson Christopher Achram (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Tyler Tucker Grab (Grand Rapids, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A vacuum cleaner includes a base having an agitator chamber and a suction nozzle opening in fluid communication with the agitator chamber. A brushroll is positioned within the agitator chamber for rotational movement. The brushroll includes a brush dowel provided with a plurality of bristles. The brush dowel has a plurality of ribs."
