ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,595,516, issued on April 7, was assigned to Biotheranostics Inc. (San Diego).
"Neuroendocrine tumors" was invented by Catherine A. Schnabel (San Diego), Yi Zhang (San Diego) and Mark G. Erlander (San Diego).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure provides methods for the use of gene expression measurements to classify or identify neuroendocrine cancer in samples obtained from a subject in a clinical setting, such as in cases of formalin fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) samples."
The patent was filed on Dec. 8, 2022, under Application No. 18/063,257.
